In today’s always-on and instantly updating digital world, how does a company to represent itself online? From social networks to online forums, blogs and more,  being a spokesperson in social media without seeming like a complete shill is difficult, especially if it involves outdated PR methods of message management. Scott Monty has been extremely successful as Ford’s online spokesperson, namely on Twitter, during a time of tremendous challenges for the company and the auto industry. In this SWOM webinar, he'll share important do’s and dont’s for effective online representation.

Scott Monty is Global Digital & Multimedia Communications Manager for Ford Motor Company. Based in corporate communications area, Scott is a strategic advisor on all social media activities across the company, from blogger relations to marketing support to customer service to internal communications. Prior to Ford, Scott had roles at crayon, LLC, and PJA Advertising + Marketing, a BtoB marketing agency that specializes in the high tech and health sciences industries. True to his social media roots, Scott is an active blogger and podcaster; he maintains The Social Media Marketing Blog and The Baker Street Blog.
